Monday 10th
December to Saturday 15th December – Days at sea.
Weather getting warmer every day. More and more flesh becoming exposed – oh the
sights! Keeping very busy with choir
rehearsals and Bridge seminars. Having
trouble fitting in meals at times, so size not ballooning yet.
Our first open deck Caribbean party was cancelled due to
rain!!
Have been socialising with people above our station and
holding our own. Enjoyed a lovely dinner
with Patrick, Helene, Anne, Mike and Helen.
Helen gave us a copy of her book, the story which inspired Daphne du
Maurier’s first novel – ‘The Loving Spirit’.
By Saturday the weather had turned very warm. The ‘Voyager Voices’ (Ian and Nesta + Choir)
performed to a full house of passengers and was great fun.
We had the surreal experience of taking part in a photo shoot for next years
Voyages of Discovery brochure. We had to
sit in front of a plate of cold food whilst the pics were taken, but at least
we could drink the wine. Not sure what
clients they are trying to attract!!
Thought you'd like to see some pics of our Atlantic crossing...
The captain checking with the passengers - which island are we going to??
The captain deciding not to go for a swim in the pool
Finally, we are in the Caribbean!!
St Kitts & Nevis
Ian singing? Does he know the words to anything other than 'You'll Never Walk Alone'? And after they lost on Saturday, I wouldn't have thought he would be singing that anyway....
