Sunday 16th December – Port Zante, St Kitts.

Well finally got our feet back on dry land.  Unfortunately due to it being a Sunday there was not a lot open.  We walked around the capital, Basseterre.  Only took an hour to stroll around most of town.  A lot of poverty apparent here.  Strange seeing tinsel and people wearing Santa hats in hot sunshine. Heavy showers cancelled outside evening entertainment again.

We were given a free DVD of the ST Kitts train tour which to me seems like a ‘here’s what you could have done’ moment!

 Arriving in St Kitts
Captain and Pilot docking the ship
A frigate bird that came to see us in the park!

  1. Rain has stopped play here as well - Boxing day was a wash-out as the Morris dancers decided they didn't want to risk the flood warnings. Guess the kids have told you about the floods in Braunton or maybe you saw them on the news (they did in Australia!!). For a while Mortehoe and Ilfracombe were cut off with floods and landslides on Barnstaple and Combe Martin roads!!
Christmas has been so quiet - should have come with you!!
